Come learn about and celebrate the innovative partnership between the University of Denver's Knoebel School of Hospitality Management and the ECDC/African Community Center of Denver; a resettlement agency dedicated to helping refugees build safe and sustainable lives in Denver. This unique partnership recently won the Worldwide Hospitality Award - Best Educational Innovation and has achieved a job placement rate of 79% for refugees being trained for positions in the hospitality industry.
A cocktail hour along with a silent auction will begin the evening followed by a fabulous 4-course meal with wine pairing prepared and served by the students of both programs under the guidance of this year's guest chef, Paul C. Reilly from beast+bottle.
Hors d'oeuvres include:
- Harrissa braised lamb meat balls with Chevre and fresh mint
- Fennel arrancini with tomato compote
The four-course menu includes:
- Celeriac soup with gorgonzola croutons
- Baby carrot salad, avocado, cumin seed, upland cress
- Cider roasted loin of pork, belly confit, red cabbage, broccoli, cashew
- Vanilla custard, almond phyla, bruleed oranges, orange caramel
